To add your Instagram to Properti, it's important that the Instagram account is connected to the Meta Business Portfolio and Facebook Page.
You will need to firstly check that Instagram is set to "professional account" within Instagram settings. If this needs to be set up, please follow the below instructions.
Set up your Instagram Business account
- Go to your profile and tap
in the top-right corner. Tap
Settings and privacy, then Account type and tools and Switch to professional account. - Pick a category that best describes your business, then select Business.
- You're all set – you've got an Instagram business account. Now connect your Instagram page to the Meta Business Portfolio and Facebook Page.
- Open Meta Business Suite
- Log into your existing Meta Business Portfolio
- Navigate to the Business Settings section
- Add Instagram Account
- Look for the "Accounts" or "Connected Accounts" section
- Click on "Add Instagram Account"
- You'll have two main options:
- Connect an existing Instagram business account
- Convert a personal Instagram account to a business account
- Authentication Process
- You'll be prompted to log into the Instagram account you want to connect
- Confirm that you have administrative rights to the account
- Grant the necessary permissions for integration
- Link to Facebook Page
- Within the Business Suite, find your Facebook Page
- Select "Instagram Account" in the page settings
- Choose the Instagram account you just connected
- Verify and confirm the linkage
- Verify Integration
- Check that your Instagram account now appears in your Business Portfolio
- Confirm you can manage Instagram content and insights through the Business Suite
Additional Considerations:
- Ensure both your Facebook Page and Instagram account are set to business profiles
- Use the same email/account credentials across platforms
- Some accounts may require additional verification steps
Troubleshooting:
- If you encounter connection issues, check your account permissions
- Verify that you're an admin on both the Facebook Page and Instagram account
- Temporarily log out and log back into both accounts
