Early Campaign Cancellations: Credit vs Refund
When a property sells before the end of a campaign, it's natural to want to pause or cancel the remaining activity to avoid unnecessary spend. While refunds aren't provided for unspent campaign budgets, there is a credit system in place to ensure the remaining value isn't lost.
Why There Are No Refunds
Once a campaign is published, the budget is considered committed—even if the property sells mid-campaign. This is a standard industry practice, and it ensures that the advertising spend is allocated to the marketing efforts as agreed upon at the start of the campaign.
While we understand the desire for a refund, our system is designed to help you repurpose any unspent budget in a more flexible way through ad credits.
How Ad Credits Work
If a campaign is archived before it has fully spent its budget, the unspent amount is returned to your workspace as ad credit. This credit can be used for:
-
Future campaigns promoting other properties
-
Highlighting a “Sold” status for the property
-
Running seasonal or targeted campaigns using the remaining balance
How to Archive a Campaign
To archive a campaign and return any unspent balance as ad credit:
-
Go to your ad campaign section.
-
Click on the campaign name you wish to archive.
-
In the top right corner, click on "Actions".
-
From the drop-down menu, select "Archive campaign".
Once archived, the remaining budget will automatically be returned as ad credit to your workspace.
