Upgrade a trigger or schedule to a workflow

Move a legacy trigger or schedule into a workflow without starting again.

Written by Product

Workflows are the newer way to automate your marketing in Properti: a visual editor, run history and step-by-step debugging. If you set up triggers or schedules before workflows existed, you can move them across without starting again.

Upgrade one

  1. Go to Automations and open the Triggers or Schedule tab.

  2. Find the trigger or schedule and choose Upgrade to workflow in its row.

Upgrade to workflow in a trigger row
  1. Check what will happen, then choose Upgrade & review.

  2. The new workflow opens in the editor, paused. Check the steps, then turn it on.

What happens to the old one

Your trigger or schedule is paused at the same moment the workflow is created, so nothing posts twice. It stays in the list, marked as already upgraded. You can delete it later; the workflow keeps working.

If Upgrade to workflow is greyed out

Hover over it to see why. We only upgrade when every setting moves across exactly, so nothing changes without you knowing. Common reasons:

  • It uses the old price change trigger. Workflows have separate price increase and price decrease triggers, so build this one as a new workflow.

  • It uses Pause Campaign, an auction type or listing features filter, or a brochure creative. Workflows don't have these yet.

  • It uses a legacy campaign template. Switch the trigger to a current campaign template first, then upgrade.

  • It fires on any status change. Pick the statuses you want on the trigger first, then upgrade.

  • It has no posting platforms turned on.

  • You're an analyst or creator. Ask a workspace admin or agent to upgrade it.

Good to know

  • Each trigger or schedule can only be upgraded once.

  • The new workflow does nothing until you turn it on.
