Connecting LinkedIn Company Page

Personal profile, company page and instructions

You are required to have a personal LinkedIn profile to create a LinkedIn Company Page. LinkedIn requires that individuals who create company pages have a personal profile for several reasons, including identity verification, page administration and experience/connection to the company.

Personal profiles are used to manage company pages. As the page creator, you'll automatically become the company page's administrator. You can also assign page admin roles to other LinkedIn members.

So, you can't create a LinkedIn Company Page without first having a Personal Profile. This helps maintain the authenticity and security of company pages on the platform.

How to create a LinkedIn Company Page

To set up a professional company page on LinkedIn, you need to follow a series of steps. Here is a simplified guide to help you:

Step 1: Add a Company

Click on the "Work" icon in the right corner of the LinkedIn homepage.
Click "Create a Company Page" at the bottom of the dropdown menu.
Select the page type you'd like to create from the following options:
Small business
Medium to large business
Enter your company or institution's official name and choose a public URL.

Step 2: Complete your Company Page

Add your company details and a description. The description should include what your company does, its mission, and other important details. This is a good place to use relevant keywords that people might use when searching for your company on LinkedIn.
Upload your company logo and cover photo. Make sure the images are high-quality, and the logo should fit well in a square frame.
Add your company's website URL, company size, industry, and company type (public, non-profit, educational, etc.).
Provide your company's physical address.
Click "Create page".
