A lookalike audience is a type of audience used in digital advertising to reach new people who are similar to your existing customers or followers.

How to Create a Lookalike Audience in Properti

Meta analyses data from your existing audience—such as demographics, interests, and behaviours—to find and target users with similar characteristics. This helps businesses reach potential customers who are more likely to engage with their ads, improving campaign effectiveness.

Steps to Create a Lookalike Audience in Properti:

  1. Ensure you have a dynamic seed audience

    • You must first create a Custom Audience based on Page Engagement or Page Interaction (or an alternative dynamic seed audience that has been created in Properti by you).
    • What’s the difference? Page Engagement includes users who interact with your content, while Page Interaction focuses on specific actions taken.
  2. Navigate to the Audiences tab

    • Select Create Lookalike Audience (only if you have already created a dynamic seed audience).
    • The most commonly used seed audiences for lookalike creation are Page Engagement/Page Interaction Audiences.
  3. Apply your Lookalike Audience in a campaign

    • When setting up a new campaign, you can:
      • Select both your existing Page Engagement/Page Interaction audience and a lookalike audience.
      • Or, choose only the lookalike audience from the dropdown menu (if previously created).

A seed audience is the initial group of people used as the foundation for creating a lookalike audience in digital advertising.
