Why did my automation fail to build?
When an automation fails to build, it’s usually due to missing or mismatched data in your CRM or Properti account. If a failure occurs, Properti will automatically send you an email notification outlining the issue.
Below are the most common reasons automations fail to build, along with how to fix them:
🧩 Trigger Automation Issues
1. Missing Agent Information
Agents must be set up as users on Properti, including:
-
Full contact details
-
An uploaded avatar/profile image
If your creative template requires agent info (e.g., name, phone number, image) and this data isn’t available, the automation won’t be able to populate the content — and it will fail.
2. Agent Mapping Not Set
Navigate to Team > Agent Mapping in Properti.
Ensure the agent listed in your CRM is mapped correctly to a Properti user. If there’s a mismatch, the automation won’t know which user to reference.
📅 Schedule Automation Issues
(Includes the agent info and mapping requirements above)
3. Creative Type – Video (OFI Only)
If you’re using a video template for an Open for Inspection automation, you’ll need at least 2 listings for it to build.
-
Why? Video templates for OFIs are designed to showcase multiple listings in a sequence.
-
If you only have one listing at the time of the automation run, there's not enough data to generate the video, and the automation will fail.
✅ What To Do Next
-
Double-check agent setup and mapping in Properti under Team.
-
Ensure required data (like OFI times and multiple listings for video templates) is entered before the automation schedule.
