Why isn't my Instagram connecting?

To add your Instagram to Properti, it's important that the Instagram account is connected to the Meta Business Portfolio and Facebook Page.

How to Connect Instagram to Meta Business Suite

To connect your Instagram account to your Meta Business Portfolio and Facebook Page, you’ll first need to ensure your Instagram is set to a professional account.

  1. Open Instagram and go to your profile.

  2. Tap the ☰ menu in the top-right corner.

  3. Go to Settings and privacyAccount type and toolsSwitch to professional account.

  4. Select a category that best describes your business.

  5. Choose Business.

  6. You now have an Instagram business account.


Step 2: Connect Instagram to Meta Business Suite

  1. Open Meta Business Suite and log in to your existing Meta Business Portfolio.

  3. Under Accounts / Connected Accounts, click Add Instagram Account.

  4. Choose one of the following:

    • Connect an existing Instagram business account

    • Convert a personal Instagram account to a business account

  5. Complete the authentication process:

    • Log into the Instagram account you want to connect.

    • Confirm you have admin rights.

    • Grant the necessary permissions.

  1. In Business Suite, go to your Facebook Page Settings.

  2. Select Instagram Account.

  3. Choose the Instagram account you just connected.

  4. Save and confirm the linkage.


Step 4: Verify the Integration

  • Check that your Instagram account now appears in your Business Portfolio.

  • Confirm that you can manage Instagram content and insights directly through Meta Business Suite.


Additional Considerations

  • Ensure both your Facebook Page and Instagram account are business profiles.

  • Use the same email/account credentials across platforms.

  • Some accounts may require additional verification steps.


Troubleshooting

  • Make sure you are an admin on both the Facebook Page and Instagram account.

  • Double-check your account permissions.

  • If issues persist, log out and log back into both accounts before reconnecting.
