Terminology Explained

Impressions: Impressions refer to the number of times a piece of content is displayed on a user's screen. Impressions indicate the potential reach of a piece of content, as they represent how many times it was presented to users as they scrolled through their feed, visited a profile, or viewed a webpage where the content was displayed.
It's important to note that impressions count each instance of the content being displayed, regardless of whether the user interacted with it. For example, if a post appears on a user's feed twice, it would count as two impressions, even if the user only scrolled past it once. Impressions are a metric used to measure the visibility and exposure of content on social media platforms.

Engagement: Engagement refers to the level of interaction and involvement that users have with content on social media platforms. It includes various actions that users can take to interact with content. An example is liking, commenting, sharing, clicking on links and tagging friends.
Engagement is a key metric for assessing the effectiveness and impact of social media content. Higher levels of engagement typically indicate that the content resonates with the audience and encourages them to interact with it. It also suggests that the content is fostering conversations, building relationships, and driving user participation.

Clicks: Clicks refer to instances where users interact with content on social media platforms by clicking on links, buttons, or other elements within posts or ads. These clicks could include actions like clicking on a link to visit a website, clicking on a button to like or share a post, clicking on a profile or hashtag to view related content.

Video Views: Video views refer to the number of times a video has been watched by users on a social media platform. This metric typically counts each instance in which a video is loaded and played, either partially or completely, by a user.
